A Chicago lawyer was charged Sunday with the murders of Knicks center Eddy Curry's former girlfriend and her baby. Fredrick Goings was hit with two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Nova Henry and her 9-month-old daughter, Ava, police said.
Goings, 36, had been the prime suspect since Henry and her child were found shot to death Jan. 24 in their Chicago condo. Curry's 3-year-old son, Noah, could end up being the prosecution's key witness against Goings. Noah Curry, who was left unharmed in bloodshed, was found next to his mother's body. "Fred did it," Noah Curry reportedly told relatives. Goings is expected to be arraigned today in. Goings began dating Henry after representing her in a paternity case against Curry involving Ava. Although Curry has denied being Ava's father, the Chicago Sun-Times has reported DNA tests showed the slain girl was the hoopster's offspring. After breaking up with Goings, Henry accused him of stalking her. She took out a restraining order against him in 2006.
