Big changes for the Yankees!

The Yanks say goodbye to 2 longstanding icons in MLB baseball. Mike Mussina calls it quits after 18 years in baseball starting his career in Baltimore. Also one of the biggest names in MLB history Big George Stienbrenner owner of the Yanks, calls it quits after 35 years and many titles. "Big Stien" will be replace by his son Hal who is 40-years old, so there will be many changes abound for one of the most historic baseball teams in history.

Whats up Yankee Nation?

For the first time in 13 years the New York Yankees will not make the playoffs. (that's right since 1995). While I am not a fan of the Yanks, I must say that this is an impressive record. Check out this espn.com article for details

The Dog Days Of Summer

I know its baseball but its the only big sports production for awhile. Last night was the final all star game in Yankee Stadium history (They will be in a new park next year). There were plenty of media, hall of famer's and happy baseball purists. The game was actually pretty good, going into extra innings and finally ending with the American league winning 4-3 (I fell asleep as the game ended at 1:33 am).

Washington had one sole representative, Christian Guzman SS for the Nationals.
