Jay-Z Mobile

Jigga just recently launched The RocPopShop, a 50-foot long trailer that’s expandable up to a thousand square feet luxurious retail space. The store was created to promote Rocawear’s new premium line during a Jay-Z’s recent concert tour.

The luxurious mobile retail space bears all Rocawear’s finest upscale products, showcased in large custom travel trunks, covered in stamped patent leather and lined in suede. In fact, the entire inner part of the trailer is adorned with suede walls and custom zebra wood cabinetry. Sophist Production provided the tech touch with its state of the art 46-inch flat screen TV and stereo system with a custom gaming zone.

The RocPopShop has begun its New York City tour since April 3, 2009 and will be parking in Atlantic Yard, Brooklyn from April 6 to 18. The mobile shop will be open from 10 am to 9 pm. Customers will be able to purchase super-exclusive Rocawear items that are not available in other Rocawear stores or retailers.

Check out this Jay-Z song called "Maybe" feat. Diddy. “Maybe” was a demo of a song he wrote for Puff. It was never his record. Or ever intended to be on American Gangster, the studio sessions from which it was recorded. The song is not that hot but if you a Jay-Z fan like myself you definitely want to add it to your collection.

Swagger Like DLR

It was revealed today that hip-hop heavyweights Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and T.I. will be joining forces next month to perform their hit “Swagga Like Us” at the 51st annual Grammy Awards. The song, which features a sample from another Grammy nominated song - M.I.A.’s “Paper Planes”- is vying for a trophy for Best Rap Performance By A Duo or Group. (Big moment for hip hop)

The royal pair topped Forbes’ richest celebrity couples list, collectively making a whopping $162 million in 2008, beating out other power couples who also make big bucks. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith took the No. 2 spot, with $85 million earned together, while David and Victoria Beckham rounded out the top three with annual earnings of $58 million. Best Rapper Alive

Vibe magazine conducted a final four tournament style poll to see who was the best rapper alive. After 920,000 votes, Eminem was declared the winner over Jay-Z. I can't really argue with that assessment. I think Em, Jay-Z, Andre 3ooo and Lil Wayne are all excellent choices however, Em and Andre 3k have not put in the same amount of work as Jay and Weezy. In related news, Jay-Z is reportedly selling a stake in his 40/40 nightclub for an estimated $44 million. Wow!!! Forget rap, Jigga is one of the best businessmen of our generation. You entreponukkas better take note.
