Washington DC's own Mike Locksley who was also the Offensive Coordinator for the Illinios Fighting Illini's has accepted the Head Coaching job at the Univeristy New Mexico (Lobos). Locksley is considered a very strong recruiter, especially in the DC area. Despite having recruiter-in-chief Ron Zook on the staff, his departure will definitely be felt by the Illini, who still need all the recruiting help they can get to regularly break into the upper echelon of the Big 10. New Mexico gets a good offensive coach who should be able to bring in better talent, as players tend to gravitate to Coach "Locks".
