DLR would like to send its condolences to the family and friends of Def Jam Vice President Shakir Stewart. Shakir was the successor to Jay-Z at Def Jam and died Saturday (November 1) of an apparent suicide. According to various reports, his body was found in his bathroom of his house in Marietta, Georgia. He died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He responsible for the signing of Rick Ross and Young Jeezy. He must of had some serious problems to have a dream job like that and commit suicide.
