Fans of David Alan Grier the comedian and “In Living Color” alumnus, will have to enjoy themselves with his performances on “Dancing With the Stars” for now: his Comedy Central series, “Chocolate News,” has not been renewed, a representative for the network said, confirming a report that appeared on the Web site of The Baltimore Sun, baltimoresun.com. Despite its title, “Chocolate News” was less a news parody than a sketch-comedy show that featured Mr. Grier, above left, playing characters, from fictitious rappers to the poet Maya Angelou, and delivering satirical commentaries about race. The series, which made its debut on Oct. 15 before the presidential election, ran for one 10-episode season.
