GTFOH METHOD MAN BROKE

Method Man was going to pay his bills … but then he got high. Despite recent reports that the rapper is so broke that his 2008 Lincoln Navigator was repossessed to pay back taxes, Method Man — whose real name is Clifford Smith — insists his cash flow is just fine. In fact, he says, his penchant for marijuana is to blame for the mishap.

The Wu Tang member has arrears of $52,503 on his personal income taxes, the state Department of Taxation showed up at the Staten Island native’s home at 6 a.m. March 19 with “four NYPD cops and the repo team,” Meth told us. “I knew why they were there. It wasn’t like ‘Oh my God! Noo!! Don’t take it!’ like it is on that TV show [“Operation Repo”]. I was half-dressed, and it was so early that I just said, ‘Okay, you’re taking the truck. … Aight.’”

In the word of Method man.. LOL.. “Myself, I’m a pothead,” while filming a video shoot for his new album, “Blackout 2,” with Redman. “It’s no secret. Everyone knows that. I go on the road and forget everything else. Sure, [the tax department] sent letters to my house saying, ‘We need this money.’ They started sending them in 2002. Here it is, 2009, and I never paid this s— because I don’t think like that!” “I could have easily just written them a check for whatever amount, but no — I waited until they knocked on this door and were like, ‘We got your truck and we outta here,’ ” he laughed. “Now I’m thinking we’ve gotta get our truck back, which means I have to get all my paperwork together,” the rapper continued. “That means days of going through mail, ’cause I got mail like woah.

Method man is burnt out.. No more please man rehab should surely be on your next agenda.. WOW.. WTF!!!!

ARE YOU READY??

Saturday night will be the return of Agent O. Washington Wizards Guard Gilbert Arenas is expected to return to action this saturday after a long season plagued with injuries. Fans may want to consider this as the big return to a team that has suffered the last two years with one of the worst records in the NBA this year. Now Gilbert, wants folks to understand "I'm not looking at it as a comeback. This is the final stage of rehabilitation, me learning what I can do, what I can't do and what I need to work on."

Man please you can call it what you want but brother after the way this city has suffered for the last two years... I am going out on a limb and calling this a comeback. It should be a packed house this weekend at the Verizon Center aka (Phone Booth).. Tickets are cheap right now also.

GANGS IN FAIRFAX COUNTY MIDDLE SCHOOL

the Latino gang Sur 13, with roots tracing to a notorious Mexican prison gang in Southern California, tried to pick up more members at Franklin Middle School, just off Centreville Road in western Fairfax County, VA., court records state.

Students are claiming that a current gang member in the school was out to recruit middle school kid between the ages of 13 and 16. WTF.. Also children were told that they could either get "jumped in" -- in which a 13-second beating is inflicted as a gang initiation rite -- or do "missions" to earn his membership and for those who declined the initiation they had to swear not to say anything to anybody or else.. Again WTF!!!

One kid fearing for his life participated in the "jumping in" of a Chantilly High School student. The second student said he was taught hand signs that the officer recognized as being from the Sur 13 gang, and the student was told to wear blue clothing at school and at home. Another student said that he participated in a "jump in" by recording it on his cellphone so show proof to gang leaders that the jumpin in had been completed.

DLR fam, we have got to wake up from this madness surrounding our children. I understand reping your hood but gangs. This has to be one of the most cowardly acts ever created by man.

I'm the police and you have to do as I say.

I had to read this story like 2 times to believe it.

A police officer was placed on administrative leave Thursday over a traffic stop involving an NFL player whom he kept in a hospital parking lot and threatened to arrest while his mother-in-law died inside the building.

Officer Robert Powell also drew his gun during the March 18 incident involving Houston Texans running back Ryan Moats in the Dallas suburb of Plano, police said.

"I can screw you over," he said at one point in the videotaped incident. When another officer came with word that Moats' mother-in-law was indeed dying, Powell's response was: "All right. I'm almost done."

"When we at the command staff reviewed the tape, we were embarrassed, disappointed," Kunkle said. "It's hard to find the right word and still be professional in my role as the police chief. But the behavior was not appropriate."

The Moats family, who are black, said they can't help but think that race might have played a part in the white officer's behavior. "I think he should lose his job," Ryan Moats said.

Stupid fool, if someone runs a red light and stops in a hospital parking lot there is probably a dayum good reason they would do that, idiot! Here's hoping that Barney Fife learned a very valuable and salary reducing lesson.

Former Stripper Pleads Guilty of Mortgage Scheme

A former stripper accused of orchestrating a massive mortgage fraud scheme pleaded guilty yesterday in federal court in Greenbelt, admitting that she played a central role in swindling desperate homeowners out of millions of dollars.

Joy Jackson, who lived lavishly while the real estate market boomed, wore a green jail jumpsuit with the word "PRISONER" across her back. She was a world away from her $800,000 wedding at the Mayflower Hotel in 2006, where she was feted by more than 300 guests and serenaded at the reception by Patti LaBelle.

Jackson, 41, who was the president of the Metropolitan Money Store in Lanham, faces a decade or more in prison.

Instead of helping people hold onto their homes, as they promised, Jackson and her co-conspirators took titles to properties, drained them of equity and charged exorbitant transaction fees, according to prosecutors.

Jackson, her husband and several others were indicted in July by a federal grand jury. Six of the defendants, including Jackson's key accomplice, Jennifer McCall, have pleaded guilty.
Appearing yesterday before U.S. District Judge Roger W. Titus, Jackson pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, which carries a maximum prison term of 30 years. With no known criminal record, she is likely to face a sentence of 10 to 12 years.

Put Some Green In The Air

NBA teams will suit up in green colored jersey in respect to the league’s growing involvement with environmental issues starting on April 2nd. The Denver Nuggets will go head to head against the Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklohoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers in their green week which will last from April 2nd till 10th. Home and away make-ups of Carmelo Anthony’s Air Jordan Melo M5 for the week are picture made up of white and green. These are most likely a Player Exclusive designed only for Carmelo and the special week so don’t expect them to be sold anytime soon. Keep an eye out for Carmelo’s M5 during Green Week.

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL

It's yet to be voted on, but Roger Goodell wants it and the New York Times says it's a certainty.
National Football League owners could vote in May on plans to lengthen the regular season to 17 or 18 games. The longer regular season, however, is unlikely to begin any earlier than 2011, Commissioner Roger Goodell said Monday at the N.F.L.’s annual meeting. Adding at least one regular-season game while reducing the preseason schedule is a critical component of what Goodell called “increasing value” — the league’s attempt to find new revenue while remaining attractive to fans in the challenging economic climate. There is almost no chance that the regular season will remain at 16 games.

What to watch in sports: Thursday Edition!!

The second round of the NCAA tournament starts today and its been a relatively safe tourney as far as upsets go. Still there have been many fans who lost out on the likes of Wake Forest but should have no fear if they picked some of the higher ranked teams going to the final four. In the NBA we have 4 possible playoff teams on the tube tonight in Chicago, Miami, Phoenix, and Trailblazers. So even though it is Thursday, time to get the weekend started with some drinks, food and plenty of basketball on TV.

Thursday, March 26
College bball-
-Purdue at UConn (cbs@7:07pm) "I'm going with UConn who dominated most of the season."
-Xavier at Pitt (cbs@7:20pm) "This will be an interesting game depending on which Xavier team shows up. Pitt has not looked as good as they should be looking."
-Missouri at Memphis (cbs@9:37pm) "This should also be a good game. Two hard working teams."
-Villanova at Duke (cbs@9:57pm) "Another great game. Besides putting my money on the Big East, my hate for Duke will have me cheering for a Nova victory!"

NBA-
-Miami at Chicago (tnt@8:15pm) "Big game for the Bulls as they fight for the 8th and final spot in the East."
-Phoenix at Portland (tnt@10:30pm) "Big game for both teams. The Suns are battling to make the final spot and Portland is looking for positioning in the playoffs."

LEAVE THE DRUGS ALONE MAN.. DAMN

Secretary of State Hilary R. Clinton, took a trip the Mexico this week regarding the drug violence south of the border. Now I am having a hard time with this because she claims that "Our insatiable demand for illegal drugs fuels the drug trade". She also stated that "proceeds from drugs sold in the United States -- an estimated $15 billion to $25 billion a year -- support Mexican drug gangs". To me this is a prime example of why Marijuanna should be legalized. Just think if the U.S. can get $15 billion to $25 billion a year selling weed along with the Dutch Maters, Cigarello's, Philly blunts, whiteboys, etc. that most individuals use when smoking marijuanna, we would be out of a recession in three years. It's that simple.. DLR reported two weeks ago that there is no larger money maker in the USA outside of Marijuanna. So really what are we doing here I understand that it isn't for everybody but $15 billion a year, to me that should be considered a no brainer.

NOT ANOTHER WAR.. OH SHYT

North Korea has mounted a rocket onto a launchpad on its northeast coast, U.S. officials said, putting Pyongyang well on track for a launch the United States and South Korea warned Thursday would be a major provocation with serious consequences.

Pyongyang has asserted its right to develop its space program, but regional powers suspect the North will use the launch to test the delivery technology for a long-range missile capable of striking Alaska. They have warned that the launch would trigger sanctions.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton warned that such a "provocative act" could jeopardize the stalled talks on supplying North Korea with aid and other concessions in exchange for dismantling its nuclear program

Top 20 Songs That Embody DMV (DC Soundtrack)

FROM THE DESK OF MR. LUCRACK: This has been the most challenging "Top" list yet. We could have easily made it top 50. This playlist is made up of songs that embody the spirit of DC. No genres have been excluded, but as you may imagine, this list is Go-Go heavy and may truly include some of the best known unknowns ever. Here we go:

1.) It Don't Mean a Thing by Chuck Brown- Hey, what can I say, the Godfather is a beast. Don’t even know if this is even considered a real song, but nonetheless, this catchy tune just oozes DC. Everybody knows someone that lives by the motto, "If it ain’t from the city, it ain’t right."

2.) Living for the City by Stevie Wonder- This theme song for the movie New Jack City epitomizes DC, especially with the cost of living the way it is...Just feels like you are living just enough.

3.) Sardines (and Pork & Beans) by Junkyard Band- For anyone not from the area that went to college on the east coast after '85, this was more than likely their introduction to Go-Go. People from the city will tell you that this is an actual meal when times are tight. This song was actually released on Def Jam with "The Word" and produced by legendary producer Rick Rubin.

4.) What's Going On? by Marvin Gaye- It’s as though Marvin, a DC native, was sitting in the park near 58th St., which was subsequently named in his honor, when he wrote this song. It could also be the theme song for the entire Black History Month.

5.) Rock Creek Park by The Blackbyrds – Anybody who had wheels at 16 with limited funds knew about doing it in the park, although the fun usually only lasted for a short period of time before you were chased off by those pesky park police.

6.) Lock It by R.E.- This timeless classic by the wickedest band is always a favorite. When this jam was new, it was always interesting to see the peeps "re-mixing" their own version of the Lock it.

7.) Tha Water by Northeast Groovers- This original groove screams DC. One of the very few Congo solos you could actually dance to. "Smoke you all by yourself" was great. Not to be confused with the DJ Flex sampled song "Water Dance" which became a college scene hit. BTW, was there an actual "Water Dance"?

8.) DA Butt by Experience Unlimited- This definitely may have been the second Go-Go song introduced to folks not from the area. Grammy award nominated but those not in the know do not even recognize this as Go-Go. It would take you only 20 minutes of walking around downtown DC shortly after the weather breaks to realize it is all about Da Butt in DC.

9.) Run Joe by Chuck Brown- If you are in your mid 30's, then this was probably your first record - this and that Sugar Hill Gang joint. Everybody knew somebody that could qualify as Moe or Joe...This song could be the reason why everybody is called Joe.

10.) Ruff it Off by Junkyard Band- No summary needed here...If this ain’t the classic DC attitude, I don’t know what is. "Weak bamas lost cuz we ruffed ‘em off."

11.) Pusher Man by Curtis Mayfield- Ha! If you at one time or another enjoyed or partook in the sticky, then you know why this song is in the list. DC probably has more pusher men per capita than most major urban areas.

12.) Stone Cold Hustler by DC Scorpio- Hey, the names says it all. As far as another song by Scorpio, I couldn’t name one, but when it was good in the city it was good. When you were a youngin’ listenening to this song, you wanted everything he named in this song.
13.) Bustin’ Loose by Chuck Brown- Early Chuck, which released nationwide and did well, it was one of the first Go-Go songs where the horns were prominent. Thanks for all you do, Godfather.14.) Go Hard by Junkyard- HA! How many times have you gone to a friend for advice, on a given matter, and all they could come up with is look you in the eye and shrug their shoulders and simply say, "Go Hard"...Only in DC.

15.) Work the Walls by Rare Essence- If you were coming up when this song was first dropped by R.E., you would sit in front of the TV all day watching the jukebox hoping someone would order it. This song makes you think of all those asses you walked up on in the Go-Go and freaked all night.

16.) Wind me Up Chuck/Funk- I guess you could credit this song to Chuck, but I know the R.E. pundits would have something to say, so we give ‘em both credit. Could you imagine going to N.Y. in Madison Square Garden and having the entire audience chant "Wind me up Jay-Z"? I didn’t think so.

17.) 5 o'clock In The Morning by Nonchalant- Loved this song, again, couldn’t name her follow-up single but all I know this joint cranked, especially those dudes that were on this joint with her. What was their group name again? Anyway, I'd rather be a one-hit-wonder than a no-hit-wonder.

18.) In the Pocket by Tabi Bonney- A relative newcomer out of northeast DC, Tabey Boney was getting national play on a bunch of outlets with this release. Love the video, by the way. I saw something else from Tabey briefly then it went away. But anybody who loves Go-Go can appreciate a good pocket.

19.) Welcome to DC by Mambo Sauce- Hey, they were playing this song at the Nationals’ stadium, you know that gets love. Video is decent, but for as good a song this is, the band has got to do more for it to get more notoriety.

20.) The District by Dark Alley- If you don’t know about these boys, you better ask somebody. Scour your underground outlets and find a copy of this single. It just screams DC.

Just Out of the Mix:

DC Lottery Commercial (Rolling Cash Five) by Chuck Brown- Ha! It’s only a commercial but if you don’t realize this joint crank, then you are a bama. This just shows why the Godfather is the Godfather!

Welcome to DC by Tree Gotti- I know you are saying, “Who?” But doing a little research, I found them on YouTube and figured it was worth a mention. Go see for yourself then report back to DLR.

That’s it...That’s the list...Let DLR know what you have in your "DC Soundtrack" playlist. And maybe you can take the title of "The iPod King."

More Sex Anyone?

I know most of you dudes think you have all the answers when it comes to wooing a lady into the bedroom but Men's Health actually took a poll of multiple women to see what they liked done to them and how to keep getting more of the good stuff from them. Some of the tips may seem a little soft, but hey there is always sacrifice when you want to get the greater good or goods LOL. Check out these rules to keep the women coming and coming for more action!

1. Play the Name Game
"Say my name, often. It makes me feel as though you're totally focused on me."

2. Pay Up
"Be generous when we're on a date—offer to pay, tip well. It will make me think you're just as giving in bed."

3. Get Your Hands on Her
"Touch me on the arm while talking to me, on my shoulder if standing above me, on my hips if standing behind me, around my waist if walking beside me. It's a subtle but effective way to let me know you're genuinely interested."

4. Ace a Classic Move
"On a cold night, wrap me up in your coat and kiss me on the forehead. It's a movie-style move that makes me go weak in the knees."

5. Excite Her Entire Body
"Sweep the hair away from the back of my neck and kiss me there. It sends sexy tingles everywhere."

6. Be a Gentle Man
"Be gentle when you're touching my clitoris—I can always thrust towards you to show you I need more pressure."

7. Speak Softly
"Whisper in my ear while we're having sex. Tell me how amazing my skin feels, how sexy I am and how good it feels to be inside me."

8. Get Rough with Her
"I love it when a guy is playfully rough in bed—a tender bite, a bit of hair-tugging—it make sex feel even more passionate."

9. Be Her Alarm Clock
"Wake me up at 5 a.m. by heading down under. I may be half asleep, but I'll soon be smiling all over."

10. Say Something
"Make contact the next day. This rule holds true forever."

Now Look

President Obama sought to reassure Americans last night that his administration has made progress in reviving the economy and said his $3.6 trillion budget is "inseparable from this recovery." DLR would have to agree that since President Obama has taken office, the economy has surely moved in the right direction. He said some very powerful things last night the really stood out such as:

1) When he came into office, the US economy was already $1.3 Trillion dollars in the hole.
2) We've been in office now a little over 60 days. "What I am confident about is that we're moving in the right direction."

Asked why he waited several days to publicly express his frustrations after finding out about the AIG bonuses, he calmly said, "It took us a couple of days because I like to know what I'm talking about before I speak." Man I almost feel out of my chair laughing at the dude who asked that question. IDIOT!!! LOL. It was like President Obama walked right up to him and slapped him with the PIMP HAND!!! LOL. I wonder why not one white person ever asked former President George Bush about some of the horrible speeches he has had? These speeches have been opening lines on just about every late night show in America, i.e. Letterman, Leno, Kimmel, etc.

And finally, there was a question asked regarding race. Asked whether race had played a role in public policy discussions during his first months in office, he said the novelty and "justifiable pride" among Americans from his being the first black president had lasted only a day. "Right now, the American people are judging me exactly the way I should be judged," he said, offering as examples his efforts to improve lending, increase jobs, and get the economy working again.

DLR says keep up the great work, President Obama. We support you 100%.

The DirecTV/NFL Monopoly Continues

DirecTV will continue to have the exclusive television rights to the National Football Leagues 's NFL Sunday Ticket package through 2014, according to a joint release from DirecTV and the NFL.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but media reports have DirecTV paying the NFL $1 billion a year for the rights to the package, up from the current $700 million a year.

Man this is the reason I can't get rid of my damn DirecTV. DirecTV needs to hurry up and get On-Demand and some damn 24-hour music channels. This is some bullshyt.

Purple Reign

Prince is back! He's not only releasing one but three albums today. The albums LOtUSFLOW3R, MPLSoUND and Elixer are available today as free downloads to fans who pay the $77 annual membership fee for his new LotusFlow3r.com website, marking Prince's official return to cyberspace since shutting down his pioneering NPG Music Club in 2006. The three discs will be sold exclusively at Target starting Sunday in an $11.98 bundle.

Also out today is Jim Jones' major label debut, Pray IV Reign. I guess that's why it's no coincidence he was on Funkmaster Flex's show last night talking about getting back with Killer Cam. Cam'ron been droppin some heat lately, so I guess he wants to have a ship to jump on once his sinks.

Dis Bama Here

Steve Harvey was back on Oprah yesterday giving up all the player secrets he could think of. Does he not know about the manhood code? He can't be giving that type of advice to random women. I can see if he was trying to school his sister or daughter but not to the legion of Oprah fans. He has broken some of the holiest of man laws with his book. Steve Harvey, you are a snitching bama and your player card has been officially revoked. And to all the players out there, may the force be with you.

Are You Ready For Some Football?

The NFL has released the games for kickoff weekend and Thanksgiving. Looks like T.O. is already paying dividends for the Bills since they will be featured in primetime on ESPN against the Patriots.

Kickoff weekend
Sept. 10
Tennessee at Pittsburgh
NBC-8:30 p.m.

Sept. 13
Chicago at Green Bay
NBC-8:30 p.m.
Sept. 14
Buffalo at New England
ESPN-7 p.m.

Sept. 14
San Diego at Oakland
ESPN-10:15 p.m.

Thanksgiving
Nov. 26
Green Bay at Detroit
FOX-12:30 p.m.

Nov. 26
Oakland at Dallas
CBS-4:15 p.m.

Nov. 26
N.Y. Giants at Denver
NFL Network-8:20 p.m.

In related news, the NFL is considering expanding the NFL season to 18 regular season games and eliminating two of the preseason games. I don't really like that considering the injuries you would have deal with. Its hard enough to make it to the postseason without injuries with 16 regular season games.

Breastessess of the Week

Lovely lady lumps indeed

State of the NBA

With a little more than three weeks to play in the regular season, the NBA 82 game season has taken another step up on the intensity level. As many teams fight for their playoff lives, other teams are fighting for home court advantage. This is the perfect opportunity for the casual NBA fan to catch up on where their team is before the playoffs start(unless your a Wizards fan, then you go for the best draft pick, SMH!).

The two most consistent teams in the league have been the Cavaliers and the Lakers. Lebron and Kobe have been lighting up the league and are the two top contenders for MVP (along with D. Wade). This matchup could very well be a preview of the NBA Finals in June. The defending champion Boston Celtics have been pretty solid but faced multiple injuries during the season and currently sitting five games behind the Cavs. The Orlando Magic have also been pretty strong (same record as Celts) but the season ending injury to J. Nelson has slowed their torrid start to the first half of the season. Of course the veteran squad of the San Antonio Spurs is in the hunt, but the upstart Houston Rockets are currently in 2nd place in the West and doing this without Tracy McGrady whose out for the year.

The teams fighting to get the 8th and final spots are: Chicago, Charlotte, Milwaukee, and New Jersey with Chicago leading the pack by a couple of games. In the west it is Portland, Dallas and Phoenix battling for the 7th and 8th spots but someone will be eliminated.

Here's how the matchups would look if the season ended today. Its time to put on your NBA cap because things are going to get hot real quick!

East
8Chicago at 1Cleveland
7Detroit at 2Boston
6Phili at 3Orlando
5Miami at 4Atlanta
West
8Dallas at 1LA
7Portland at 2Houston
6Utah at 3San Antonio
5New Orleans at 4Denver

Kanye's Complex

Check out these interesting pics of Kanye West in the lastest edition of Complex magazine. They are partly computer generated. Kinda dope, kinda weird. Like him or not, he definitely stay doing something different. Click here to read the article.
