Zephyrs Sabotaging Wiz Draft Chances

Last night the Wizards trotted onto the court for a nationally televised game against their conference nemesis, Cleveland Cavaliers. Gilbert Arenas decided to play again last night eventhough the Wizards have less than 20 wins with only a week or so left in the regular season. So the Wizards win a game and now they better their record but it may cause them to get less ping pong balls which determine the order of the draft. Is is smart for the Wizards to be winning meaningless games? I think not. Others differ and think winning now is a benefit. I guess we won't know who's right until those ping pong balls decide the order in a few weeks. (You have to be a fool to think less ping pong balls is a good thing...wtf?)

NBA FANTASTIC

If you have not been paying any attention to the NBA right now, your missing some of the best basketball ever. You have the race for first in the east, the battle for second in the east, and home court issues in both conferences.


The Boston Celtics are in a tough position this year, defending NBA Champions with key injuries right now, possibly going into the playoffs in second place in the division. Right now the Celtics have a 1 game lead over the Orlando Magic who lost last night to Toronto. And Orlando has to finish up the regular season with one more game against the KING.. Kevin Garnett is still out although he has been practicing and doing some light conditioning but no date has been set on when he will return.



All you have to say is LEBRON 'KING' JAMES... This dude is on fire. The Cav's have the best record in the NBA. Although they split this year with the Celtics they are still in the lead with the best record so the tie breaker may not even make a difference as to who is going to get home court advantage in the Playoffs. Right now it looks as if the KING has it locked up. If you haven't had to many chances to see Cleveland this year let me tell you they are not the same team as last year. The additions of Moe Williams and Delonte West in the back court has the Cav's playing lights out basketball. Hell these dudes are having so much fun they're even putting skits together before the game starts to show the opposing team how they mean to kick their azz... LMAO!!!! I am a big Celtic's fan and the Cav's have me nervous as hell.
And the Lakers.. How can you not talk about the Lakers. Kobe possible candidate for MVP again kicking everybodies butts. They even beat both the Celtics and Cav's during the regular season to enforce the tie breaker in their favor. There is no team in the entire Western Conf. who is even close to catching them for first place and they are playing like they are on cruise control.

All three of these teams have more than 60 wins this year and all three teams look like nobody can beat them which is getting ready to make for a very exciting Playoffs. Will the Celtics repeat, will the KING finally get the ring, and will Kobe get back and win without Shaq. All I know is I have the NBA League Package and this year it was money well spent. NBA is still FANTASTIC!!!

TROUBLE IN REDSKINS CAMP

The Tennessee Titans have asked the NFL to consider tampering charges against the Washington Redskins in the signing of free agent defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, The (Nashville) Tennessean reported, citing unnamed sources familiar with the situation. According to the report, the Titans did not file a formal grievance with the NFL over the Redskins' quick agreement with Haynesworth, which was reached just hours after the league's free agent period began. Instead, the team provided the league with newspaper articles and audio from a Washington, D.C.-area radio station -- evidence the Titans say implies Washington had improper contact with Haynesworth before free agency began at 12 a.m. on Feb. 27. The NFL indicated to the Titans that it planned to look into the allegations, according to the report.


Haynesworth, considered the prize of the 2009 free agent class, agreed to a $100 million contract with the Redskins five hours into free agency. Haynesworth said last month that he didn't think the Redskins were guilty of tampering, according to the newspaper. He said a meeting between his agent and Redskins owner Daniel Snyder at the scouting combine a week before free agency began was about wide receiver Malcolm Kelly, another of Speck's clients. "All I know is the Redskins called my agent at 11:04 p.m. Nashville time [12:04 a.m. ET] and they started negotiating then,'' he said, according to The Tennessean. "They weren't anywhere close in the first couple of hours and then they got serious. Chad worked the deal then and it worked out.''

It's just been reported that the Washington Redskins are actively pursuing a trade involving Former Denver Broncos Quarterback Jay Cutler. One source said that the Redskins are trying to complete the deal as quickly as possible. Just think the Redskins have been known to have good ties in Denver i.e. "Clinton Portis". This would turn the NFC East upside down bringing the Redskins possible to the top of the division, but lets not forget Jay Cutler has shown flashes of sandlot football meaning he can give you a 6 INT game quick and then he can come back the very next game and burn your city down.


It's was also said that Washington is even entertaining involving a third team which could involve a trade with current QB Jason Campbell. Now comparing the two Campbell had a great year and Cutler cried all year, so it could be a pick your poison type of situation but the only thing that make Jay Cutler a standout in this matter is HE'S A BONOFIED QUARTERBACK...

Cutler vs Campbell, DMV who would you pick?

As most of you know the Jay Cutler sweepstakes have intensified and one of the top running teams is the Washington Redskins. We all know that Dan Snyder covets the big name and in Cutler's case everyone seems to think he is the real deal and would be someone you could build your future around. But on the other hand the Redskins already have a veteran QB in Jason Campbell whom Redskin brass deemed as the future at one point in time. So it is shaping up to be JC (old) vs JC (new).

Check out these last seasons stats:

So the stats are basically even only differences by the touchdown and interceptions. My translation on this is that the Redskins would rather take chances down the field which Cutler has already proven (we can take more ints and score more points) , rather than keep playing safe football and only scoring 17 pts per game (We wont throw ints but we wont score to many passing touchdowns or throw the ball downfield either).

After over a day of deliberation, John Calipari is headed to Kentucky. The coach sent a text message Tuesday evening saying, "I am accepting the UK job! Go Big Blue, coach Cal."
Kentucky officials said that Calipari will receive an eight-year contract for $31.65 million plus incentives. Kentucky paid Memphis a $200,000 buyout. The exact details of the contract will be revealed at Wednesday's news conference introducing the coach. Earlier Tuesday, Calipari told a confidante that he was also receiving a $2.5 million signing bonus. The contract is the richest in college basketball. Calipari signed the Kentucky contract before he boarded a private plane to head to Lexington Tuesday evening. "Why did he wait so long?" said former Calipari assistant Bruiser Flint, the head coach at Drexel. "He said he didn't have to take the job. He's 50 years old. He felt good at Memphis. It was a good place for him. But at the end of the day, it's Kentucky." The school has scheduled a Wednesday news conference at 9:30 a.m. ET on campus to announce its new basketball coach.

Cutler To The Redskins?

The Denver Broncos finally gave up on this game of "he said, we said" and have agreed to let Jay Cutler go. As most of you know Cutler and Bronco management have been fighting ever since new coach Josh McDaniel came aboard and was thinking of bringing Matt Cassel along with him. The Denver brass announced that they would trade Cutler to any interested team, which in this case be many. Cutler would be a nice fit for such clubs as Detroit, Cleveland, Tampa Bay, Jets, Bears and maybe even the mighty Redskins? (ya never know)
