Led by G. Vasquez's Triple-Double, Maryland Upsets #3 North Carolina.

Just when you count the Maryland Terrapins down and out they come back and surprise you. In a season that has seen then lose at home to Morgan State, and get blown out by 29 in their last game at #10 Clemson, Maryland came back yesterday from as much as 16 down in the second half to send to game into overtime, and then win the game in overtime. Maryland was led by junior point guard Greivis Vasquez, who recorded the first triple-double for Maryland in 22 year with a career high 35 points, to go along with 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

Way to go Maryalnd and coach gary Williams, who we all here at DLR have been pretty critical of the past few years, sometimes deserving and sometimes not so much. Maryland's next game is this Wednesday........against Duke.

Someone named Derrick lewis had 2 triple-doubles in 1987, that was the last time for Maryland before Vasquez.
