These teams are crazy, good!!!!

Does the term "crazy like a fox" ring a bell? It means that a person is so crazy that they are actually brilliant or in the case of the NFC East good, tough teams. Of course with all the preseason hype the NFC East was branded as the beast in football. One of these teams would win the Superbowl right? Well enter the craziness. Each team in this division has experience some type of dysfunctional behavior that has helped or hindered their team. Examples in order of rank:

1. NY Giants
  • Plaxico Burress misses practice and is suspend for a game
  • Plaxico Burress cusses out coach during a game
  • Plaxico Burress shoots himself in the leg and involves fellow Giant Antonio Pierce
2. Dallas Cowboys
  • TO proclaims he didnt get enough touches after Redskins victory
  • Tony Romo goes down with a broken finger against Arizona
  • Wade Phillips takes bigger role in defense after the coordinator is publicly criticized
  • TO, Romo, Whitten collide when arguing who is getting the ball and secret plays
3. Philadephia Eagles
  • Philly fans criticize McNabb performances after losses to Cowboys and Redskins
  • Andy Reid pull McNabb for Kevin Kolb against Baltimore and game ended in blowout
  • Media and fans call for McNabb and Reid azzes to be fired after the season
4.Washington Redskins
  • Jim Zorn says that Clinton Portis stayed during off season workouts because he was paid to
  • Portis calls out Brian Mitchell on live radio for comments made about his play
  • Rookie punter and draft pick is realeased from team.
  • Jim Zorn takes Clinton Portis out a the game against the Ravens
  • Some players and coaches question Portis' practice habits
  • Portis and Zorn go to the media to air out dirty laundry
Well there you have it, the craziness of the NFC East, but this division does not have a team with a losing record and still looking to make noise in the playoffs. The Giants have the 2nd best record in the NFL (starting to fall without Plax). The Cowboys have found some stride and hold the 5th spot in the playoffs today. The Eagles are hot and looking for a last wild card position. And even my last place Skins still have a chance for a winning record.

Just goes to show that there is a thin line between brilliance and insanity....
